Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival – the longest running comedy festival in Europe!

This year the Festival arrives in town from 3th - 19th February

Expect some surprises and also some favourites, including original shows, Comedy in the Dark, & Comedy Heaven and towards the end of the Festival the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year Competition – for which One Leicester has a pair of tickets to be won – see below.

This year the festival turns 19 and to celebrate its birthday it has teamed up with UKTV’s home of witty banter, Dave, to continue to champion live stand up.

The festival started in 1994 with 40 events in 23 venues over seven days throughout attracting 5,000 people. Today it attracts over 60,000 people from all over the world and is seen as one of the 'top 5 comedy festivals in the world' (The Guardian)
