Regenerating Leicester

The ambitious regeneration of the St George's area of the city is being driven by the development of a number of major cultural projects.

 

When it's complete, Leicester's Cultural Quarter will be home to a stunning performing arts centre, a three-screen digital media centre, and a depot providing workspace for the city's designers, artists and other creative businesses.

 

Curve, Leicester's brand new state-of-the-art theatre, is officially open.

The Digital Media Centre – due to open in 2009 – will include three cinema screens, a digital exhibition space and digital production facilities. There'll also be workspace for creative businesses, as well as a cafe/bar and around 60 apartments.
