If you haven't visited Leicester City Centre for a while, you don't know what you're missing... in the last 9 years, Leicester's retail, leisure and grade-A office space offer has been transformed.  Stunning multi-award winning developments have helped put Leicester on the map as a national destination. These include the £350m Highcross shopping centre offering an awe-inspiring mix of 120 exciting stores and Curve, our £62m performing arts centre, which was opened by HRH the Queen and designed by world-renowned architect, Rafael Vinoly.

Our Strategic Regeneration Area (SRA) is the focus of major development, regeneration and physical change, generating the impetus for economic, environmental and social investment. Leicester City Council and its development partners have joined forces to produce a report which highlights the delivery of £1billion regeneration since the launch of the city’s Masterplan in 2002.  It also illustrates the on-going regeneration progress, with current projects and top priorities for the future. Find out more about the SRA using the links below.

Outside of the SRA we also have links to other significant developments including Ashton Green - a planned sustainable urban extension of 3,000 homes for our city.
