Making Leicester a Low Carbon City

In order to ensure that Leicester is on target to be a low carbon city by 2025 Councillor Rory Palmer is leading the creation of an action plan to be taken forward by all organisations, groups and individuals in Leicester.

Following the production of the City-wide Carbon Reduction Roadmap there is now an open consultation on how to turn this into the Action Plan.

We are asking organisations, businesses and groups of all sizes, along with individuals, to pledge their support for a Greener Leicester.

Consultation Key Dates

9th January: Consultation Launch

10th January: Making A Low Carbon Leicester -  Large Organisations and Businesses Event

16th January: Online Consultation Launch

28th February: Carbon Action Plan Deadline (organisations, businesses, groups)

31st March: ENGAGE Project Pledge Poster photo session - Green Light Festival

7th May: Action Plan Completed and Launched
