As part of the Mayor’s 100 day programme, we have modelled a course of potential activity that would allow the City to reduce its carbon emissions by 50% by 2025. This is known as the Road Map.
The Road Map is not intended to be a definitive set of targets for future actions and, at this stage, the logistics of the measures have not been analysed (e.g. the costs, etc).
However, the report does illustrate the type of measures that may need to be adopted if Leicester is going to cut its carbon emissions by a significant amount over the next 14 years.
We intend to use the report as a starting point for consultation with the people of Leicester and it will be explained in more detail at the Greener Leicester event on October 13th.
The full report can be found by following the link below and to find out more about the consultation event and all of the other carbon cutting events going on in Leicester please visiting the Greener Leicester Events Programme page.
