Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) is the mechanism by which health and social care in Leicester can support the setting of appropriate strategic priorities for local communities. Each area has to carry out a JSNA and it must be undertaken by councils and primary care trusts working in partnership. It identifies the current and future health and wellbeing needs of the Leicester population, informs the priorities set by our Local Area Agreement and will be used to commission services to improve outcomes for local people and reduce health inequalities.
