The festival's heady mix of cultures and tradition promises to take you to all four corners of the globe, as the city comes alive with a colourful, diverse programme of themed events and performances, toe tapping sounds from across the globe and activities the whole family can get involved in, all for free!
It's set to be the highlight of the events calendar this year showing that Leicester really has "the world in one city".
What's it all about?
2008 will be a landmark year for Leicester. This year marks the completion of the multi-million pound refurbishment of the city centre, the launch of Curve, Leicester's new performing arts centre, Highcross Leicester opens and other exciting city projects are completed.
To celebrate these fantastic achievements Leicester will be presenting a spectacular Festival of Dance entitled 'One Rhythm Dance Festival'.
