Full terms, conditions and other important information for the One Leicester – Magical Advent Tower prize draw competition:
Please read the following before you enter to avoid disappointment:
When can I enter: You can submit entry forms as soon as you like for the prize draw. The winning entries will be drawn from the ‘hat’ each day from 01/12/09 – 24/12/09.
Improve your chances of winning: ALL entry forms received will stay in the ‘hat’ each day from the start (apart from winning entries). So, if you enter at the very start you’ll stand a chance of winning every day during December.
Tower prizes: Some people have commented that they think by listing three particular towers they could win those prizes - PLEASE NOTE: your entry is entetred into a 'hat' and drawn at random each day, i.e. you win that days prize - the prize for that day is what is shwn on that days tower, not your entry form.
AGE: You MUST be 12 years of age, or older to enter – if under 12 years old, you can still enter, but you will need approval from a parent/guardian/carer. If you are submitting an online entry we will accept that you have done this. If in the eventuality it turns out you haven’t got permission, we reserve the right to offer the prize to somebody else.
A valid form of identification may be required to collect your prize. If you are lucky enough to look younger than you are lucky you – but you may be asked to prove your age. Also, we want to ensure the person who wins the tickets genuinely wants to claim the prize and can prove they were the actual entrant.
In some circumstances, if you are under 12, your parent / guardian will need to collect the prize.
One entry per person: we will remove all duplicate entries. Photocopied forms WILL be accepted so each member of your family / group / school etc. can enter too.
Contact details: valid contact details – especially a telephone number and email address - must be provided to allow us to contact you should you win. If we can’t we reserve the right to offer the prize to somebody else.
How we choose the winner: All correct entries will be put into a ‘hat’ and the winner will be drawn at random with an independent witness present.
Daily cut-off point: all entry forms received by 12noon each day (online and in-person to the One Leicester Staff / Leicester Sound Black Thunder Crew at the Clock Tower) will be entered into that days draw. Entries received after 12noon each day will be entered into the next days draw. Remember ALL entries stay in the ‘hat’ from when they are submitted (apart from winning entries).
How will you know if you’ve won: The winner will be revealed each day online on the One Leicester website and
also announced on Leicester Sound 105.4FM, either that day, or the following day on the Breakfast Show - with Naomi and Damien.
There will also be some special prize draw ‘live’ days: 12th, 19th and 24th December, held at the Clock Tower, where Leicester Sound breakfast presenters will read out the winning name aty 1.30pm. We will also contact the winner/s directly.
IMPORTANT: as it’s SO important you do this so we can contact you - you MUST add the following email address to your email address book, or email contacts ‘safe list’ / ‘trusted list’: info@oneleicesteronline.com - otherwise it may get blocked by your email provider’s junk filter and we may not be able to contact you.
What happens then?
We will contact the winner/s with details of how to collect their prize. You may need ID to clarify you are the official winner.
General information: The prize/s are not redeemable for cash. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion. The judge’s decision is final – no correspondence will be entered into.
Use of your details: by entering you will automatically be entered into the prize draw each day (unless you have already been a winner).
The information provided is for the use of One Leicester / Leicester City Council. Only winners’ details will be passed to other organisations involved in the competition, i.e. Leicester Sound and the other organisations providing the competition prizes – this is if they need to contact you to arrange collection of your prize.
Winning entrants details will be announced on Leicester Sound (105.4FM) and also displayed on the One Leicester website – NOTE: One Leicester will ONLY display your name and area you live in. i.e. ‘Sid Smith, from Humberstone’ we WILL NOT display age, or any contact details to the general public.
Data protection: by entering the One Leicester competition you will be automatically subscribed to the One Leicester mailing list – meaning you will receive our e-Newsletter, which is sent out monthly – which lets you know about Leicester’s events, festivals, offers, news, competitions and more... we may also send you other very occasional emails if we have important updates to tell you about.
Unsubscribing: you can easily unsubscribe (preferably after the competition is over) at any time, by using the links provided in the e-Newsletter, or by visiting: http://oneleicesteronline.com/unsubscribe.php or by emailing: info@oneleicesteronline.com and ‘Please unsubscribe me’ in the email heading together with your contact details and email address.
